SAY THEIR NAME! Is the most sacred event of the year for HVHH. 

There is healing in the water. Join the High Vibrations family as we spend a sacred weekend on the beach. 

Each year, hundreds of people of African heritage come from all over the world and meet in Galvaston Texas to honor the lives, memories and the legacy of those who came before us. We take the time to gather together at The Gulf in Galvaston Texas. We meet at the water and remember those who lost their lives on that beach after they learned of their freedom and were attempting to go back to their homeland, Africa.  Even though the slaves had been legally freed 2 years prior, upon hearing of their plans to return to Africa, many of the slave owners followed our Ancestors to The Gulf and murdered them. They prefered to see them dead opposed to free. 

We also make sure to remember our ancient ancestors who came before slavery as well as those we grew up with. Many of us spend time honoring our parents, grandparents and other loved ones we may have grown up with or befriended along our journey. 

Join us the 3rd weekend in October as we honor our collective ancestors as well as our individual loved ones who have gone before us. Durning this 3 day weekend, we will review the historical facts from this time in our history. We will also learn more about the importance of honoring our ancestors and ways to get started.   

This retreat enjoys a more laid back schedule to assure you have time to enjoy the beach. While there are some activities planned, we promote more relaxation and reflecting during our time together.

FRIDAY

SATURDAY -  

All day Saturday is reserved for our guest to participate in the Caravan of the Ancestors and just enjoying your time on the beach. The event lasts throughout the afternoon and is filled with love, history, reverance and celebration.  There will be hundreds of decendants of slaves gather, wearing all white, singing, dancing and celebrating the sacrifices that were made and the history that was left. You may participate as much or as little as you are comfortable and want to.

5:30am-6:00am Morning Meditation

6:15am-6:45am Yoga on the Beach

7:00am-7:45am Morning Walk - Seawall 

10:00am-12:00pm  Brunch

12:00pm- Clean Up & Check Out
