Whether you acknowledge it, embrace it or not, being responsible, even if you didn't ask for that responsibility, for a new life will alter your life. As it should. There is no informational, instruction book that is bullet proof when it comes to parenting. EVERYTHING changes, from socializing, sleeping, exercising, sleeping, sex life, even grocery store runs. That little person can and will change your life FOREVER! How do you adjust? What do you do with the anxiety? What if you feel like you really miss your prebaby life? What if it turns out to be NOTHING like you thought? What happens when you find yourself doing it alone? How can you adapt to a new life, be the best parent you can be while remaining true to yourself? It is okay to be honest with the way you are really feeling about your new life. It's okay not to have it all figured out. One of the best things you can do for yourself and your new child is know when to take the superhero parent hat off and just be a human.
